  • Leadership Montgomery has proudly graduated more than 1,900 influential leaders through the Torchbearers and Legacy Class Programs, that represent a diverse network of changemakers who are actively shaping the future of Montgomery through civic engagement, professional excellence and a shared commitment to community transformation.
  • Since 2008, participants in Leadership Montgomery Torchbearers and Legacy Class programs have completed 179 Community Service Projects, giving back to the Montgomery community through valuable volunteer hours, financial contributions and lasting impact.

Background:

Founded in 1984, by J. M. (Mike) Jenkins, Lanny Crane, Solomon Seay, Jr. and George Goodwyn, Sr., the purpose of Leadership Montgomery is to inform and develop community leaders through an intensive leadership program; to provide leaders an opportunity to network; to provide an in-depth look at many of the most important issues facing our community and to provide an opportunity to exercise community service.
