Mission:
To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
BACKGROUND:
YMCA of Greater Montgomery covers the Montgomery, Millbrook and Wetumpka areas. Our YMCAs have been increasingly vital in responding to the diverse needs of our community. Whether addressing food insecurity, promoting wellness, facilitating recreation or fostering learning, the Y serves as a cornerstone for youth, families, adults and seniors to reconnect,
reengage and recover.
AJ Hernandez, President/Chief Executive Officer
“I was a Y kid from a lower-income single-parent household, supported through the financial assistance program to attend afterschool and camp programs. It gave my siblings and me an incredible chance to be influenced by positive adult role models. To now have the opportunity to give back, alongside inspiring leaders, to the same mission that shaped me and provided such wonderful experiences, is the greatest privilege.”
