Mission:
To source, acquire and distribute nutritious food to those experiencing hunger and food insecurity throughout our region, so families, seniors and children can thrive.
BRAG LINES:
The Heart of Alabama Food Bank sources and distributes food to 12 surrounding counties directly out of our Montgomery facility, in addition to addressing hunger and food insecurity for 35 counties in Alabama. We distributed over 29.5 million lbs of food last fiscal year, equating to over 24.5 million meals for fellow Alabamians in need.

Childhood hunger is one key factor that produces childhood trauma, and HAFB works extremely hard to reduce or eliminate this suffering.”
