“Many of us were raised in homes where the question was, ‘What are we going to eat tonight?’ However, many children are faced with the question, ‘Are we going to get to eat tonight?’ Food insecurity has proven to be trauma-inducing and can follow a child into adulthood. We also have seniors who can’t afford to pay for medications, living expenses and food. Knowing I am leading a team of incredibly dedicated individuals driven to help remove the despair caused by food insecurity is more rewarding and satisfying than I can put into words.”
