“The children in the foster care system typically live unstable lives. Our trained volunteers advocate for these children, and they are vital. Children assigned a CASA are more likely to: find a safe, permanent home; spend less time in foster care; improve in school and behavior; and avoid re-entry into foster care. And anyone can become a CASA volunteer. It takes around six to eight hours a month that can be scheduled at the volunteer’s convenience.”
